What Is The Vision And Kindness Program?

The Vision and Kindness Program is a first of its kind combined eye education and empathy program for kids 3-10 years old.

This program is packed with fun and sure to create a lasting impression helping kids to understand their vision and how to care for it. The kit comes with a Truffles the Kitty carrier box in which one of Truffles’ recruits is found inside to tell kids all about their eyes and the paw-some ways kids can care for them. Everything from choosing the proper eyewear to relieving eye fatigue from using handheld devices.

After learning about their vision, Truffles then tells kids about her real life “furriends” who have special vision journeys. Truffles celebrates kids who need to wear glasses and or eye patches, she praises the bravery of kids who have eye surgeries and kids who have low vision and use sight canes. She reminds kids that vision is a journey and everyone’s journey is different including kids who have color deficiencies and some kids who do eye exercises every day. Helping kids recognize the vision efforts of their friends is a great way to promote empathy and kindness.

The kit includes a comprehensive leader's guide to help you through the process. And access to special downloadable content to expand upon the program and to help introduce your students to Truffles.
